The CLEF2013 conference (23-26 September) will be held at the Technical University of Valencia (Universitat Politècnica de València) in the "Salón de actos", Nexus building (6G).




Travel information

By airplane:

The International Airport of Manises is just 8 Km. outside the town and has been recently refurbished.

AIRPORT – CITY CENTRE CONNECTION:

  • - By metro: Line 5 Aeropuerto/Torrent Avinguda- Neptú. Approx. every 10-20 minutes. Line 3 Aeropuerto / Palmaret- Rafelbunyol. Approx. every 10-20 minutes Fare to/from city centre: approx. €2.
  • - By bus: Fernanbus, Line 150 Valencia - Manises - Aeropuerto: Timetable: Airport-Valencia: 6:30, 7:00, then every 20 minutes until 22:00, 22:30, 23:10 and 23:45. Price: approx. €1.25
  • - By taxi: Approx. cost airport-city centre: approx. €20.
  • - By car: Take the V-11 road which connects the A-3 (Madrid to Valencia motorway) with the V-30.

By Train:

JOAQUÍN SOROLLA STATION FOR THE VALENCIA HIGH-SPEED TRAIN (AVE)
From the high-speed train station, the AVE trains connect the city to Madrid, with 17 daily departures and an approximate journey time of 1 hour 30 minutes. In addition, the Alaris and Euromed long-distance trains connect Valencia with Spain’s main cities.

Connections from Joaquín Sorolla Station (AVE):
  • - SHUTTLE BUS: Present your train ticket to travel for free to Estación del Norte, located in the city centre.
  • - METRO: Joaquín Sorolla Station (lines 1 and 5). More info at www.metrovalencia.es
  • - BUS: Lines 9, 10, 27 (bus stop in San Vicente Mártir) and lines 89 and 90 (bus stop in Av. Giorgeta). More info at www.emtvalencia.es
  • - TAXI: Taxi rank outside the entrance to the station.

The North Railway Station of Valencia is located in the heart of Valencia. Daily connections to Madrid, Barcelona, Sevilla, Alicante, Port Bou (French border), Granada, Zaragoza, Bilbao and trains to other provinces leave from here. From the airport / railway station, the Universitat Politècnica de València is reached taking the line 3 to Benimaclet and then line 4 or 6 to Tarongers (see map below).

The best option is to get off at the Tarongers stop and not at the Universitat Politècnica one: Nexus building (6G) is just opposite.

Mind that Universitat Politècnica de València (Camino de Vera Campus) and Universitat de València (Tarongers Campus) are facing each other.
Do not get wrong: CLEF-2013 will be held at the Universitat Politècnica de València!
